Last Monday was my first day at a new job. I work for a small travel company in the city centre. I woke up very early because I was nervous. I had a quick breakfast and took the bus to work.
When I arrived, my manager, Mr. Patel, was waiting for me at the door. He was friendly and he smiled a lot. He showed me the office and introduced me to my new colleagues. There are eight people in my team. Everyone said hello and asked me questions about my last job.
In the morning, I learned how to use the booking system. It was a little difficult at first, but my colleague Sara helped me. At lunchtime, we went to a small café near the office. I ordered a chicken sandwich and a cup of tea. We talked about our families and our favourite holidays.
In the afternoon, I answered some emails from customers. One customer wanted to change the date of his flight, and I helped him. I felt proud of myself.
At six o'clock, I went home. I was tired, but I was happy. I think I am going to like this job.
